1. How are swim tats applied?

Remove clear, protective top sheet. Place image side toward skin where you want the tattoo. Press a wet towel, paper towel, or sponge to the back side of the tattoo for 30 seconds. Slowly remove paper backing from skin. Allow tattoo to dry before touching or covering with clothing.

2. How long will swim tats last?

Swim tats will last up to a week or longer depending on the type of tattoo (glitter, scented, glow in the dark or regular) and where its placed. The length of time a swim tat will last on your skin is also affected by how and where it is applied. To make the most out of your swim tat, be sure to apply it to clean, dry skin that is free of oil, lotion or make-up. Try to choose a smooth, hair-free area of skin that doesn’t crease or stretch when you move. Also, they will last longer if it is applied to a part of your body that doesn’t rub against straps or clothing. Once applied, swim tats are waterproof, so they wont come off in the shower, pool or ocean.

3. How are swim tats removed?

Remove them with rubbing alcohol, baby oil, or transparent household tape. The tattoos are resistant to water and most soaps.

4. Are swim tats safe for my skin?

Swim tats are safe and non-toxic. Our manufacturer uses FDA certified colorants and all products exceed U.S., Canadian and European Union safety standards for cosmetic and toy products. Certification documentation is available upon request.

5. Will I receive swim tats in sheets or will they be cut and banded?

Each custom swim tat is individually cut to size and has a clear, protective cover. Custom swim tats are bundled in quantities of 200 and bulk bagged. In stock swim tats are delivered in a protective package.

6. How much do swim tats cost and in what sizes are they offered?

7. May I have some random samples before I place my order?

Sure, we most can certainly send you some random samples. Please put your complete shipping address and phone number on our Contact Us form and we will send you some samples. Our sample requests are generally fulfilled within 2 business days and shipped via United States Postal Service.


1. What is the minimum amount of swim tats I can order?

The minimum order quantity per design for “Custom” tattoos is 1,000.

2. After I place my order when will I receive a proofs of my swim tat?

We will email you a proof for your approval in 1 to 2 business days.

3. Do you do rush production ?

Yes. The cost for 6 day rush production is an additional $50.The cost for 5 day rush production is an additional $100.

4. Do you allow changes to an order?

No, sorry. Due to how quickly an order goes into production, swim tats cannot be changed once a proof has been approved.

5. Can I cancel my order?

No, sorry. Cancellations cannot be made due to how quickly production begins. Once a proof has been approved and payment has been made, an order cannot be cancelled.

6. Are there any charges for artwork set up or touch ups?

No, there are never any charges for touch-up or set-up of your artwork.

7. What guarantee do you offer?

Your swim tats will be free of material flaw, or we will exchange your swim tats for new ones or issue a refund.

If a return/replacement is in order, the claim must be settled within 30 days of the initial complaint or no return/replacement will be granted.

If a refund is in order, you will need to contact us within 24 hours of receiving your swim tats.


1. What artwork formats do you accept?

We can work with any type of digital file you have.

We prefer files to be high resolution, color-corrected CMYK. If the file is a .jpg, .tiff, or .psd, please be sure they are at least 300dpi at the size you want printed. Vector .eps, and .ai files should have the fonts outlined or sent in with the art.

In general, .gif files and images taken straight from a website are too poor in quality and resolution to make a nice temporary tattoo, but we will work with you to ensure you get the best quality printed tattoo possible!

2. What’s the difference between imprint size and trim size?

A 1/8″ inch margin between the printed image and the edge of the paper, on all four sides, is required for all custom temporary tattoos. Therefore the custom temporary tattoo itself is 1/4 smaller than the paper size selected (example a 2×2 tattoo has a 1.75×1.75 imprint area). This applies to any custom temporary tattoo size you order.

3. Do you do custom design work?

Yes, we do custom design work for a flat fee of $30. All custom design work must be paid for upfront with your order beforehand. The designers that do the custom work are paid by the job, not by the hour.


1. After I place my order, when should I expect to receive my swim tats?

Custom swim tat orders are shipped in 7 business days after we receive proof approval. Regular in stock swim tats are shipped within 3 to 5 business days. Orders are shipped every business day. Your order will ship on or before your scheduled shipping date.

2. How much is shipping?

We offer free FedEx ground shipping on all orders within the continental USA. If you live outside the continental USA please Contact Us, and we will be able to tell you what additional charges may be required.


1. What forms of payment do we accept?

Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover, Paypal, wire transfers and checks.

If you are a YMCA, Government Agency, or School you may use a Purchase Order for us to process your order.

Ordering Terms

By ordering through you understand and agree to abide by the terms and conditions detailed within it.

The Buyer shall indemnify and hold harmless the Producer from any and all loss, cost, expense and damages on account of any and all manner of claims, demands, actions and proceeding that may be instituted against the Producer on grounds alleging that the said printing violates any copyright or any proprietary right of any person, or that it contains any matter that is libelous or scandalous, or invades any persons right to privacy or other personal rights, except to the extent that the Producer has contributed to the matter. The Buyer agrees to, at the Buyers own expense, promptly defend and continue defense of any such claim, demand action or proceeding that may be brought against the Producer, provided that the Producer shall promptly notify the Buyer with respect thereto, and provided further that the Producer shall give to the Buyer such reasonable time as the exigencies of the situation may permit in which to undertake and continue the defense thereof.

Cancellation Policy

All orders are final. Orders may not be canceled, altered or suspended.

We reserve the right to cancel any order that we deem is an invasion of privacy, is degrading, unlawful, profane, obscene or pornographic, or tends to ridicule or embarrass.

Returns and Refunds

Your swim tats will be free of material flaw, or we will exchange your swim tats for new ones or issue a refund.

If a return/replacement is in order, the claim must be settled within 30 days of the initial complaint or no return/replacement will be granted.

If a refund is in order, you will need to contact us within 24 hours of receiving your swim tats.

Shipping Terms

We are not responsible for delays in delivery by FedEx for their reasons (inclement weather, customs inspections etc.). Refunds will not be offered if the courier does not meet their delivery responsibilities.

We are not responsible for courier broker charges or delays as a result of customs for cross border shipments.
We are not responsible for customs and duty charges applied by your government when the products enter your country.
Privacy Policy
Simply Swim Tats recognizes that you have a right to privacy, and we will not give or sell anyone specific information about you or any orders you have placed except that:

(I) Simply Swim Tats may share information about you or an order that you have placed with a relevant Institution in order to allow such Institution to review the use of the Licensed Marks as necessary;

(II) Simply Swim Tats may share information about you with its marketing partners or Social Media sites for purposes of marketing Simply Swim Tats.
